Pet Health
Pets today suffer from allergies, skin problems, hypertension, heart disease, cancer, liver and kidney failure, and other serious illnesses. These conditions have been exacerbated by the tainted foods we feed our pets, and the lack of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other nutrients in their diets. Commercial grade pet foods may contain harmful additives and processed grains, instead of high quality proteins. These foods weaken the immune system, providing the environment for disease to gain a foothold.
Improving your pet’s health is relatively simple. It is a matter of feeding your pets natural, whole foods, and ensuring a proper balance of vitamins, minerals and micronutrients is achieved. I recommend the following basic diets for dogs and cats, try them and watch your best friend grow healthier and happier before your very eyes!
All animals
If you have the means to feed your pets organic foods and filtered water, please do so! Organic vegetables can be grown cheaply and with little effort in your own garden, and I’m sure there’s a GSW Class on how to do it, as well as the GSW Gardening Club.
The easiest way to prepare vegetables is to use the pulp left over from juicing. I like my carrot, apple, beetroot and celery juice in the mornings, and there are plenty of nutrients left in the pulp to keep the dog and the birds healthy as well! If you don’t drink juices (you should, they’re great for you!), you’ll need to use a food processor, as they should be chopped up quite finely.
For meat-eating pets, try to get game meats, as they are generally leaner and free of all the hormones and antibiotics that are present in commercially grown meats. Also keep in mind that diced meat is better than minced. Here in Australia, many pet shops sell frozen diced kangaroo meat in 1kg packs (and 15kg boxes) at very reasonable prices.
Always add a good colloidal or crystalloid vitamin and mineral supplement and some high-grade Omega 3 and 6 oils.
Aged garlic extract, various herbs, enzymes, spirulina, bee pollen and kelp can also be added either on a regular basis or as needed, to ensure the highest level of well-being for your pet.
Dogs
Mix 1/3 raw vegetables (any except onions, which can be toxic to dogs), 1/3 cooked grains (white rice or pasta are acceptable, but whole grains or brown rice are preferable), and 1/3 raw meat. Add a splash of oil and serve - it’s that simple!
* Note that measurements are given as proportions rather than amounts, as serving sizes will vary considerably depending on the size of your dog.
Raw bones are also recommended once a day, especially marrowbone or kangaroo tails.
Cats
Unlike dogs, cats are almost exclusively carnivorous, and will do well on a meat-only diet. Give your cat raw meat, fish (whitebait is the perfect size for cats, and very inexpensive), or organic chicken. Feed in small portions twice a day, and remember to remove uneaten food before it spoils.
When allowed to go outside, cats will normally supplement this diet with herbs and grasses, which, apart from self-medicating, also supply nutrients that are not present in meat, such as chlorophyll. Therefore, it is especially important to supplement the diet of indoor cats who are not permitted to go outside with a good vitamin-mineral supplement.
Birds
Birds should always have a good mix of different grains and seeds as well as fresh water available. I also recommend giving birds some raw fruit and vegetables daily. It’s nice if you can give them some access to fresh grasses as well.
Some birds, especially parrots, will happily eat a whole apple or another fruit if you just cut it in half. Others need the fruit and veg to be chopped or pureed on the food processor. Be guided by what your birds like, but please, stick to foods that are naturally eaten by your species of bird!
Never give your chickens “layer pellets” as they are made with fish and meat meal - that is, ground up fish, cow and chicken bones - about as far from a natural diet as a chicken can get! Chickens’ diet should consist mainly of wheat, other grains and seeds, fruit and vegetables, grasses, any insects and worms they can capture. Look for “wild bird seed” in your supermarket - it’s great to mix in with their wheat and they love it! If you are able to let them out, even if for only a few hours a day, then do so! They will always return to their “coop” by sundown.
What now?
Whether your pet is healthy or has a health problem, try the natural diet recommended above first. Most animals will get better within a few weeks and will not need futher treatment. If problems persist, you can send me your questions and I will email you back (I try to respond to all emails) and also publish your question and my answer in the next article. So you want to learn how to hypnotize someone, well in order to do so you must understand that hypnosis is about communication between the hypnotist and the other someone. That you must understand the concept of Neuro Linguistic Programming NLP and above all to constantly practice and train yourself.
So hypnosis is about communication, not telling an unconscious person what to do. Here is an official definition of hypnosis:
Hypnosis is a mental state (state theory) or set of attitudes (nonstate theory) usually induced by a procedure known as a hypnotic induction, which is commonly composed of a series of preliminary instructions and suggestions. Hypnotic suggestions may be delivered by a hypnotist in the presence of the subject (”hetero-hypnosis”), or may be self-administered (”self-hypnosis” or “autohypnosis”).
As you can see it is important to understand that when you want to hypnotize someone they must be conscious so that their mind can process information. Of course you must put their mind in a suggestive state hence the hypnotic induction. This is a way of figuratively “warming up the subjects mind” so that they are more likely to listen to your suggestion and influence. Hypnotic Induction can be as simple as telling the subject to close their eyes and take 5 - 10 deep breaths, slow down their breathing, to get as comfortable as possible or creating a scenario in their mind where they would feel the most suggestible. Once this is done you have will have increased your chance of hypnotizing them exponentially. You can probably relate to this usually when you are in a good mood you tend to be a lot more open to ideas of going for a run, or mowing the lawn opposed to when you are in a bad mood and usually any idea is a negative. This point leads on to the next one of Neuro Linguistic Programming NLP.
In order to properly learn how to hypnotize someone you must understand what NLP is and how it connects to hypnosis. Nuero linguistic programming in the simplest form of definition is the way our mind reacts to certain phrases. Let us look at the example of mowing the lawn. Usually when you are asked to mow the lawn the immediate reaction is I do not want to do that. The reason being that our mind associates this phrase with work, which is hard and something that we want to avoid. The point of hypnosis is to use our NLP’s in a way to make the subject react in the way that we desire. So when learning how to hypnotize someone it is important to understand the basic reactions to common phrases used. The most important thing to remember is that people tend to react once they are given positive information to process as opposed to immediately dismissing negative information. Use the advantage of someone being in a good mood and you will usually be able to convince them to do pretty much anything.
Learning how to hypnotize someone is about practice and training yourself in the correct techniques. It is absolutely imperative that you take a training course if you wish to learn hypnosis. Remember that anyone can learn hypnosis, it is not something that is only available for a select few, hypnosis is something that you can learn as long as you are willing to put in some time. If you want access to the best training course available visit http://howtohypnotize-polski.blogspot.com. If you are serious about results then do not waste any more time and take the step today.

How many people reading this enjoy at least one sport and wouldn’t mind taking the afternoon off to watch their favorite team play? I’ll bet 9 out of 10 hands go up!
Sports are fantastically popular with people of all ages and all walks of life in EVERY country in the world. This is not only true today, but has been the case since the Ancient Greeks hosted the first Olympics thousands of years ago.
While not everyone ranks themselves as a sports enthusiast, most of us can easily agree sports are a good thing. Sports tend to bring the best out in people everywhere. Even co-workers who don’t care for each other become friends at a sporting event. And you can’t deny even warring countries often set aside their differences when it comes to a long anticipated sports event between the two.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could meet a lot more people who share your exact interest in sports? If you’re a SF Giants fan, knowing other Giants regulars would be a cool thing. You’d have so much to talk about and lots of fun tips, gossip, and inside knowledge to share.
Unfortunately, we rarely get to meet many of the people who share our sporting interests. Watching TV at home may let you share a game with your immediate family or a good buddy, but forget knowing any of the other millions who may be watching the game.
Even if you sit in the stadium with tens of thousands of screaming fans, you’ll be lucky if you meet anyone other than the person sitting next to you or the person behind you in the line to the bathroom.
Today’s Internet technology has advanced to the point where sports fans and teams can EASILY find and communicate with each other.
With just a few clicks of the mouse, you can quickly create your own fan page on a system that has thousands of other fans just like you ready to view your page. You can talk with each other on blogs, via chat, through email and more.
Additionally, teams can create their own pages as a way to invite fans to communicate with them. This gives teams valuable insight into what their fans find exciting, what they don’t like, and what will get them to attend more games.
Keep in mind, your fan or team site can be included on a vast network of sports sites where there is always a large and ready audience to interact with your page or posts.
If you love sports, you really should get involved with the online sporting community. It will greatly enhance your enjoyment of your team, the sport, and your day-to-day life.
Jason Hu is creator of http://SportsDigger.com The site’s easy systems let you instantly create your own fan web page or team page. Search for and easily communicate with anyone who shares your interests anywhere in the world. And it’s all 100% FREE! Contact Jason at contact@sportsdigger.com.

Important Tips for Beginners
During my journey into grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, I have come across several principles and pieces of advice which have greatly accelerated my progress. I often find myself wondering just how much further ahead I would be today if I had known of them at the start of my training. It is for this reason that I try to ensure that the beginners I teach and my private clients are aware of them at the start of their grappling careers. The tips below are the ones I feel are most significant for the beginner.
Prepare your body for training
No matter what anybody tells you, you need a certain basal level of strength and fitness to get the most out of jiu-jitsu. You do not play sports to get fit - you get fit to play sports. The fitter you are, the more relaxed you will be during the sparring segment of your classes and therefore the more your mind will be able to absorb. A good level of cardiovascular fitness will speed up your recovery between sparring matches and between training sessions themselves. Resistance training and the increased muscle hypertrophy and joint strength it brings will go a long way in the prevention of jiu-jitsu related injuries.
Contrary to popular belief, an expensive gym membership and a bunch of machines and equipment are not a necessary requirement for getting fit. All you need is your own body, a small space and a degree of willpower. I will be including sample workouts in future posts to this blog.
Leave your ego at the door
Your ego can be a great (if not the greatest) hindrance to your progress as a grappler. As a beginner you will tap often. Nobody likes to submit in front of the other students and spectators at their academy. Acknowledge that it is your ego that causes this discomfort and then do everything you can to overcome it. Accept the fact that you will be dominated and beaten regularly during the initial stages of your triaining and embrace it as part of the process. The time will come when you are the one causing the others to submit, but before then you will need to pay your dues. But remember that you should not be doing jiu-jitsu to learn to dominate people and prove that you are the toughest guy around. You should be doing it to learn about yourself.
Try this as an exercise in gaining control of your ego: Make it your mission to be tapped fifteen times at your next class. Bizarrely, this will actually make you a better fighter. Firstly, because you will come to not fear tapping anymore, you will begin to relax alot more during your sparring. As we know, there is direct correlation between how relaxed you are and how quickly you will learn. Secondly, by letting opponents put you in compromising situations and submissions you will quickly become familiar with them. This familiarity will ensure that you are more composed and hence more likely to escape if and when you are faced with these situations during competition.
Focus on the basics
When you begin training it may be overwhelming trying to memorize and incorporate all the techniques you learn into your game. There is something you must understand and that is that you do not need a thousand different moves to be good at jiu-jitsu. There are so many grapplers out there who can demonstrate hundreds and hundreds of techniques as well as the counters to them and even the re-counters to those. Most of these guys cannot put even a fraction of this technical knowledge into practice against a resisting and determined opponent. A technique only becomes a skill once you can use it successfully in a fight. As Bruce Lee said, “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” Replace ‘kicks’ with ‘armlocks’ or ‘chokes’ and the same holds true for grappling.
After 8 years of training I still find myself coming back to the most basic movements and techniques and trying to refine and tweak them to reflexive proficiency. As a beginner you should take a handful of simple things and work on them until they are part of you. Focus on the high percentage, fundamental moves such as the snake/shrimping motion and the bridge. This will ensure that you lay a solid foundation for your entire game.
Work on the things you find difficult
After many years of training it will be more difficult to break bad habits and correct weakness you have developed. If you are intelligent, you will not allow the these negative tendencies to take hold when you start training.
Overspecialization breeds weakness. If you are a someone who loves to fight from the top and has no bottom game, sooner or later in class or competition you will meet someone who you cannot dominate from the top and your lack of ability on the bottom will cost you.
If something is difficult for you, make it your focus. For example, if you hate playing from the guard, make it your number one priority during training. Try to get your opponent into your guard whenever possible and work from there. If you are diligent and can accept that you will have your guard passed many times in the beginning (leave your ego at the door), soon your guard will become strong. This applies to all positions and techniques.

Crack! Bang! Smack!…the final strike of your combination knocks the heavy bag into motion, sending it swinging wildly from side to side, it’s angle and distance changing constantly as you set up your next attack. Finding it difficult to track the bag’s motion, you decide to reach out with one or both of your hands to steady the piece of equipment so that it will be easier to hit. STOP! That’s a big mistake.
Placing your hands on the bag, won’t be a problem when you’re doing bag work, but that same action may soon transfer over into the ring or cage and you may quickly find yourself on your back, wondering why you’re staring at the ceiling. Anytime you reach your hands out and away from you body, to grab or push your sparring partner or opponent, you open yourself up for a number of powerful punches each of which you won’t see coming. Against a technically weak sparring partner, or when facing a partner who possesses limited punching power, you may get away with it. When facing a skilled opponent you won’t be as fortunate.
Breaking this dangerous habit is very simple. As you work on the heavy bag, imagine that when it swings towards you it’s really your opponent advancing to attack. Instead of stopping it with your open hands, drive your cross (straight punch with your power hand) into the heavy bag at the exact moment it reaches a completely vertical position. The impact will stop the bag from completing its forward swing, and will return it to a near motionless state. You can then follow your cross with any technique you choose.
In sparring, apply this same movement to stop your opponent from advancing into close range. As a variation to the above technique, you can replace the cross with your lead leg front kick (push kick), both in sparring and while drilling on the heavy bag. Time it perfectly, like the cross, to stop your target’s motion.
With some practice, you will become an expert at controlling the pace, swing and overall movement of the heavy bag during training. Ultimately this will transfer over into your sparring and you will notice that you are more effectively controlling the range between you and your opponent.
Good luck with your training!
Train hard, train smart and most importantly have fun!

In case you are still undecided which cat to keep, Siamese or Burmese, you might as well go for the wonderful cross breed of these two - the Tonkinese. This beautiful breed was developed in the 1960’s in North America by cross breeding a Burmese cat with a Siamese cat. Unofficially however this cross breeding was being done many years before.
Usually cross breeds are created to follow a particular color or trait. But Tonkinese breed was created to get the best of both of the mother breeds - namely body, character and coat.
Because this breed has taken the best of both mother breeds, a Tonkinese cat is extremely friendly and pleasant in its personality. It is an excellent family pet or homes with many cats. They tolerate children and their pranks too. They are friendly with dogs and even other pets.
If you do not like cats that cuddle up, this breed is not meant for you, since they are extremely people friendly. Starting from being present at a children’s party to positioning itself on your lap to getting inside your cover while you are planning to go to bed.
The Tonkinese cat has a very playful nature. They would love to play hide and seek or even launch an unannounced leap on a family member quite suddenly. Keep a lot of toys in the house to keep the cat playful and occupied. This is a good pet for people who spend a lot of time outdoors. If you work for long hours and remain out door, keep another Tonkinese cat to make a pair.
These cats can be trained very easily. You can train them to fetch, come to you when called or go for a walk on a leash. Cats with intelligence.
These cats come in brown, chocolate, red, blue, lilac, cream, cinnamon or fawn colors. You can have tortoiseshell, mink, self or tabby patterns on their bodies. They weigh six to twelve pounds. Their head is wedge-shaped and the eyes are slanted. They have a strong muscular body with a long and bushy tail. Only mink patterned cats participate in cat shows. These cats have attractive blue eyes whereas others have coat color or green eyes.
If you find Siamese cats too noisy and the Burmese too reticent, the Tonkinese cat is perhaps the right choice of feline.

It is no secret that exercise is a vital part of any successful weight loss plan. However, many weight loss products would have you believe that weight loss is as easy as taking a pill. While in some cases, these weight loss aids might be beneficial, for the most part, the best way to tackle weight loss is through proper diet and exercise.
The first thing that most people tend to do when they consider losing weight is to cut calories. Though it is true that you will probably need to adjust your calorie intake to shed the pounds, one of the best things that you can do to jumpstart your weight loss program is to ensure that you add some exercise to the overall program. In many cases, people find that just adding exercise to their daily routine will allow them to start losing weight. Now imagine the efficiency of a balanced diet and exercise combined.
Exercise is wonderful for increasing your metabolism and helping your body burn more calories. And adding exercise in the morning is even. Early morning exercise will get your metabolism revved up and help you burn more calories all day long.
So how can you add exercise to an already busy schedule? Well, exercise does not mean that you have to visit a fancy gym. It can be as simple a talking a walk around your neighborhood or walking the dog in the evenings. Once you have built stamina through regular exercise, you can begin to challenge yourself even more by adding resistance exercises.
Resistance exercises, such as weightlifting, challenge your muscles and help you to lose even more weight. How is this possible? It is a known fact that that muscle takes up less space in the body than fat as well as providing a boost for your metabolism. So the muscle you have, the more quickly and efficiently your body burns calories. You should try to add two or three days a week of resistance training to your exercise routine once you are comfortable with exercise.
What if you are already exercising and eating healthy? Here is the thing about exercise - you need to continually challenge your body to make progress. If you have just been doing the same exercises over and over and have found that your weight loss progress has stalled, it could be that your body has become used to the same thing all the time and needs to be challenged differently. Try adding some intensity and changing up your exercise routine. You will most likely start to see results again.
Exercise is one of the keys to losing weight and keeping it off. So when you are trying to lose weight, do not neglect one of the most important components of a successful weight loss plan - exercise.

If you think paintball is a game only for the guys, then you are in for a surprise. Many girls also enjoy the game and are starting to make their presence known in the world of paintball. There is always an all female team in every major tournament for paintball and many females turn out to participate. And some of them are exceptional players. Just because the players are girls, don’t let it fool you into thinking they are not formidable.
Actually, some say that paintball girls are better suited for the game and have an advantage over males on the field. For one reason, females are usually smaller and are therefore harder to hit and it is easier for them to hide. Also paintball girls tend to be more patient than their male counterparts and will therefore have no problems out waiting an opponent until he outs himself. Some have noted that paintball girls tend to bond quicker and better than the males and therefore work together better as a team.
Paintball girls don’t like to be restricted to playing amongst all girls however, but are eager to compete against the men on the paintball field. Most of the paintball tournaments have at least a few girls competing against men.
The all girl paintball teams have taken down many all male paintball teams. Not only do these paintball girls have to be tough and strong to go up against the men, but they have also had to overcome a lot of obstacles to be able to compete in tournaments. Paintball girls may look meek and somewhat fragile, but in this case, appearances are quite misleading. They can use this to their advantage too as men tend to underestimate the ability of female players of paintball. Most paintball girls are extremely serious about the sport and they are very good at it.
Women are no different from men in the beginning because everyone hesitates to suffer the pain of being shot. And getting hit by a paintball can be extremely painful. But once the game gets underway and the adrenaline kicks in, some paintball girls get hooked; and who could blame them? Paintball is an exciting game that is quite competitive but is also fun to play.
So if you thought paintball was just a guy’s game, you can see that isn’t the case. Women are quickly joining the ranks of exceptional paintball players and many have become aficionados of the game. The next time you are on the paintball field, watch out for those paintball girls, they make for formidable opponents.
